Helen visited Siyolise’s Stokvel meeting. Wonderful ladies and wonderful fellowship.

But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.  Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.  They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”
 
Mark 12:42‭-‬44

Jesus said, “She put in everything.”

Now, she doesn’t have any more to live on. Is that what Jesus is asking us to do? Empty our bank accounts to have favor in him?

Not at all. He wasn’t looking at how much she gave, but why she gave.

She wanted to show her heart by giving everything she had.

Whether we give two million coins or two small coins don’t make any difference to Jesus, but our fully dedicated loving heart to Him do.

Tow coins were only one of the ways to express her heart to Jesus.

In everything that we do, we need to show how much we love him.
