It is wonderful to see how God works things through in each other’s lives. It is even better when we got through the rough times together.

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
John 20:27‭-‬28

When did you realize that Jesus was ‘My Lord and my God’?

For me, it is the certainty that I have in Jesus.

Before I met Jesus, everything in my life had 50/50 chance. I could be okay or not okay. I could be successful or not successful.

I seek in many different places to find some assurances, but no wisdom, belief or religion could give me any meaningfull answer.

Now, he has guided me to look in the right places to find peace and assurance for my life. Also, His everlasring covenants and ever deepening love assure me for anything to come in my way.

I need you Lord. You are my God.

Significance in Christ

Thembisa’s life has nothing special from a worldly point of view. However, in God’s eyes, there are so many things to celebrate. How Jesus empowered her to be independent and confident. How he brought joy and peace to her and her children’s lives through Vuku Family. Here is a link to her testimony. https://iam.precioustojesus.org/blog/2019/11/12/you-opened-the-love-in-me/

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Romans 12:12

What Paul is asking us to do are not disciplines, code of conducts or rules as a Christian.

It is confirming the charecters that Jesus has built in us through love.

When we have hope in Christ, We become joyful.

When we experience his love, we become patient even in a crisis.

When we feel His presence with us, we know our prayers are heard.

So each day, cherish faith, hope, and love in you. For these are the signs of Jesus in us.

OLIA Annual General Meeting

OLIA board had AGM over the weekend. Our previous AGM’s felt like yearning to improve, but, this year, we humbly looked to Jesus for our future direction with great contentment and thanksgiving.

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
Luke 17:5‭-‬6

‘Increase my faith’. Was it a right thing to ask?

Jesus said a small mustard seed sized faith could move a mulberry tree that is known for a wide root system. It was very difficult to uproot.

May be the faith is a on/off kind of question than rather than how-much.

If you did have faith, God can do wonders no matter how much faith you think you have.

We had an OLIA board meeting over the weekend sharing about how well you are doing. Also we prayed for many great things to come.

I realized now that the question is not how to build our future, but to keep our faith that has been demonstrated through your wonderful works in sharing God’s love.

Because I have faith in Jesus, and so do you.

Zukisani shared his short testimony. –

“But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:39‬

By Zukisani Nzala

you know i think today i had an encounter with Jesus within myself.

what happen is that i had just loaded the first 100 boxes of 370 boxes of pots into the truck when the dispatch manager came to me and said sir i think you loaded the wrong boxes. please take it out. now you can imagine how i was feeling with the sweat on my face🥵
so as i was standing there looking at him, i thought to myself it’s your fault, you are the one who told me to load these boxes now you want to blame me. and the human nature in me wanted to tell him to get more guys to offload the truck. but then something in me reminded me that hey zuks remember if someone ask you to go one mile, you go two miles and i just knew that jesus is talking to me and he is with me. then suddenly i was joyful and was not tired anymore.

so i am convinced that this is how Jesus works in us at least for me when we totally allow him.

Helen and Sheren doing a midnight run. There is no time curfew in God’s love.

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:37‬ ‭

I was fixated on the idea of being ‘more than conquerors.’

Paul was talking about no hardship, persecution or sword shall separate us from the Love of Christ.

He is saying we are meant to do more than just overcoming those challenges.

Then, what is more?

It is building God’s Kingdom in us and around us.

We will surely overcome the challenges, then we are call to spread his grace and compassion to the world around us.

The hardships we face are an appetizer to the main dish, a warm up to the main event, and a hand sanitizer at the entrance to your favoriate store.

Let’s face and conquer our hardships. We have God’s Kingdom to build that is based on the love we have received… from Jesus.
