I realise that many times we try to carry unnecessary weight on our shoulders and we forget that there are others who can help us along the way if we can just ask.

I know it’s not very easy to ask for help, it makes us feel weak sometimes but if we ask from the people that the Lord has put around us and share how we feel about any situation we face we can all be sure that God is with us and He will carry us through at all times.

PRAYER: Lord, forgive us for always trying to carry everything in our own strength. we need the help of others, and especially, the help that comes from You. I call out to You and I ask You to be our Helper, and surround us with others who will also help us. in the name of your son Jesus Christ Amen.

There are many ways to express your love towards someone. You can be kind to them, buy a small gift to them, or even say something nice to them. We all deserve to be loved but where we live now, it is hard to live each other purely. People can have double motives.(Remember our meeting?) Not because people are evil, our environment and need have shaped us in that way perhaps.

But we are different. We received Jesus’s love without any cost and we are free to express Jesus’s love towards others.

Often we refuse to acknowledge his love for us and his love for others.

Sometimes it is important to sit back and know his love for us and others.

How much does Jesus love you?

How much does Jesus love the person next to you?

The love no one can take away from you.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

We don’t question that God is there, but often we don’t know when He helps.

Also we often have specific ways that we expect his help, so if it comes in another way, we don’t see what God is doing.

I want us to be reminded today that Jesus has built a Godly community around us such as Vuku Family to use when you need His help.

A trusting and loving community that has his love.

Today let’s seek his presence among us or show God’s love to each others, not with our own power but with his love.

We are together and strong in Christ.

I have heard this said to me many times by a very special friend of mine, but did not understand what it really means because i thought becoming a Christian is how you seek the kingdom of God. come to think about it i think back then i was like those who become followers of Christ for many different personal reasons.

When you seek something you must have some expectations right?

so when i begin to seek God my expectation was for God to see me, see my struggling. but i realised that God saw me before i was even formed in my mother’s womb, and that He has been waiting for me to come to Him all this time and my frustrations have been caused by lack of understanding.

So when we seek God we get way more than what we expect. I beat myself up for not seeking him sooner because if i did i would have more people seek his Kingdom sooner.

The heritage we leave behind

Lolo is a student at CPUT studying Public Relations. It hurts me to say that we, adults, are failing to give hope to such young minds. We decide to start Vuku meetings with him at his res every Sunday

This verse is from Meeting 10 – True Peace in Love.

As we we grow our relationship with Jesus, he takes over different aspects of our lives one by one.

Initially, we believe many problems can be addressed by money, but the money fails us over and over again.

When Jesus does, he doesn’t fail. So we start to surrender more and more, and realize that everything is related to Jesus and his kingdom.

Once we see that we start to believe nothing will happen to us apart from God’s will.

That is our assurance and security that we find in Jesus.

Peace of God, our Father in Heaven.

in meeting 7 we learn about what it means to love one another.

Jesus love is not a random act of kindness.

John 15 : 9-10,12

Amen.

we all have people that we love, some we love them in a different way. which is not a bad thing but we can always improve our love through Jesus.

He loves us as God loves Him and this is the same love that we are to abide with. Jesus thought me how to love my wife with His love. I use to expect my wife to do something that i like and have a certain way to show me respect in order for me to love. and that lead to disappointments and frustration.

so when Jesus Christ showed up in me or my life He taught me how to love her, it’s almost like He was saying you can love your wife because I have done it and I am here to show you.

when we receive and share His love we get so much joy from loving others and not just any joy but the joy of Jesus, a complete fulfillment.

Sometimes, life is like a minefield. Take one wrong step, boom! your worse nightmare comes true.

You dearly pray for God to take your away to somewhere nicer or safer. Even may be just, ‘Take me away, Lord. Anywhere but here.’

Instead, Jesus marks all the places with bombs, and shows you even if you step on one, you will be protected.

Now, you have confidance and assurance to pick up your head and look where the minefield leads you to.

Only then, you realize this was the only path to heaven. If you had turned away, you would never get there.

Don’t ever be afraid to live your life. Jesus, the author of life is with you.

“I want to learn!”

We gave Linda and Monica copies of Vuku Family Workbooks and added them to them Whatsapp group. Her first message to them group was, “I would like talking about bilbe and I want to learn more.”


When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”
Exodus 32:1

This is when they made a golden calf… But why?

It wasn’t that they believed the stupid cow statue was their creator or a saviour.

They were scared that Moses wasn’t coming back, so they were artificially building a bridge to their creator in a shape of a calf.

We often do that as well. When we are desperate or in needs, we try anything to force God to do something. We will take any advise or ideas that might get us the ‘higher power.’

Our fear and anxiousness takes our sights and hearts away from Jesus, and force us to make plans that is not from Him.

In His time, the answers will come, and that is the perfect time.

Let’s wait on Jesus and nothing else for He is coming.
