Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

When you think of peace, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

Often times, when we think about peace, we think of it as the absence of troubles or conflict. In reality, peace is a state of mind that does not rely on outside circumstances. When we’re accustomed to conflict and trouble, the promised peace of God is something desirable, but also something that we can’t even begin to imagine.

Peace sounds great, but is it applicable to MY life? Can I experience the peace that Jesus talked about?
When Peter was called forth to step out of the boat and walk on the water to join Jesus, he had faith. He listened to what Jesus asked of him. It was after stepping out onto the water, however, that Peter was distracted and overcome with fear. He looked at the waves, he took notice of the high winds, and he began to sink. He allowed the distractions to steal his peace.

In times of distraction, uncertainty, and anxiety, we need to open up our Bible. Only then, when we trust him at His word, will we be able to take on the day with a peaceful mindset

““Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him.”

The Lord wants to come and lead us in the right way.
Often, we do not know which is the best or the right option.
But He comes and gently leads us to the path that He has prepared for us.
As we follow His guidance, we will look back and rejoice at His faithfulness and knowing that He is with us makes all the difference and it brings peace.

And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
Matthew 14:28‭-‬33

Our faith. What is it? Constantly tested, because it is human to be sinners.

Faith is something we cultivate and grow. With every experience, we can try at life alone. Sometimes we can walk a few steps into the water, but you will find the calls of people around you to distract you. Who are you looking for? Alone, your feet can walk on the sand and sink into the soothing water…but as you get deeper it changes into something else. He is calling you, look up and you see Him, Jesus staring down at you with Loving eyes. All your troubles and sorrow melt away. Reach towards Him, he will take your hands, and suddenly your feet are above the water.

Walk.

The wind howls around you, but you feel His light and love. Follow with your heart towards Him.. and nothing around can touch the peace in your soul.

Jesus is your rock, your savior. Experience every step of life with Him in it. You will see beauty in all of life. Choose Him.

Have faith.

He is bigger and better than anything…

Your faith.

See His Love.

Share your faith

Because you are so in love.

Tell the world.

Amen.

“In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:4-6‬ ‭

It is a journey walking with Christ.

As any journey goes, we get lost and found.

When we are on track in the journey, we feel like we would never get lost.

However, when we are lost, it always feels like we are done for good.

However we might feel in our journeys, one thing is for sure.

Jesus has called us for a purpose, and he will complete it not with our own power but his.

Jesus called us to depend on him, and that is our journey, learning to depend on him in any circumstances.

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:8

Written by Papama

When you focus only on what you can get from God, the posture of your heart reflects that. Your focus becomes set on the things you have instead of what God has already done for you. And that affects every area of your life.

When the attention and affection of your heart value Jesus above all else, you’ll not only receive everything you need, He will become your everything.

I hope you rest in the blessing that is the presence of God today. He loves you and wants to spend time with you.

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Luke 6:45

Written by Lynnet

Take a good look at what you are storing in your heart. Is it representing the Holy Spirit in you? are your words bringing forth good things or evil things?are your words building up the people around you or destroying them?
lets always check our hearts before we say something for everything we say or do has a great impact in the lives of people around us..so lets guide our hearts and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us so we can be able to bring out good fruits to everyone 🙏

The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Exodus 33:14

Rest. That sounds so good, but it’s such a difficult concept for many of us. Personally, I have to really work hard at it. Even when my body is at rest, my mind is usually racing.

But what does it mean to have true rest? Spending our time focused on the goodness amd faithfulness of God, instead of on our problems.

When our identity is anchored in who God is I think that we can find a stability beyond what our feelings allow. When we keep our minds on Him and His promises, we can live from a greater trust which ushers in a greater peace and rest.

God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting way— the path that brings me back to you.
Psalms 139:23‭-‬24

Written by Lynnet

This passage of scripture is reminding us to always submit our lives to God daily. Each day allow him to point out all the things that you are carrying that doesn’t glorify him..allow him to search your heart for everything you do flows from it..take a few moments each day to let him examine you coz surely there are some things or burdens we caring that we not even suppose to..And when he does be willing to be guided to change your ways..let him guide you to his glorious path for his love abounds in you forever🙏🏼

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2

Written by Papama

That sounds amazing, right? We’d love to be able to discern His will while we live on earth. And this verse tells us that we can truly do just that. But, we have to make the choice to not conform to the world’s standard, but instead, be inwardly transformed first.

If we’re living for ourselves and not allowing Christ to lead us, how is it possible to know what God’s plans are? This doesn’t mean that we make perfect choices in our pursuit of following Jesus. What it does mean is that we are pursuing Jesus.
