Pic: Today is Amila’s birthday. I have seen her sharing incredible love with her Vuku members over the years. Bless you my dear sister. +++
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

What does my own son need to live a good life? I think about this often because I deeply care for him. There are primarily three things that concern me the most.
The first is his present life. Am I providing him with enough food and clothes? Am I ensuring that he has what he needs to avoid discouragement or fear?
The second is about his future. When I contemplate the future, I have no idea how to best prepare him to ensure a fulfilling life and the strength to overcome any hardships.
Lastly, it concerns his salvation. How can I ensure that his life would be with Jesus? This is a perplexing question. How can I guide him to fully experience the love of Jesus and not be led astray?
Among these three concerns, what do you believe is the most urgent and critical? Rightly so, it is his spiritual journey. Even if he had everything in his life, without salvation, he would perish.
I believe that God feels the same way about us. He wants to provide for us in the present and secure our future because He cares more than I care about my own son. However, God is most concerned about our salvation. His actions and inactions in our lives are geared toward ensuring it.
The only difference between God and us is that God can ensure our salvation.
I humbly depend on God for my son’s salvation as much as I love him.
