but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Written by Papama
Even though God promises special blessings for those who wait, waiting is one of the most difficult things to do. Why is it so hard? Because, as people living in a country that seems so hopeless at times, we are so prone to taking matters into our own hands and to follow our own schemes. Yet, over and over again we are told in scripture to “wait on the Lord.”
When the storms of life come upon us, we can rise above them by setting our minds and our hearts toward the Lord. The storms do not have to overcome us; God will strengthen us during our time of waiting. His power will lift us up above the dark clouds so we can ride the winds that come with the storm.
Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them. Trying to carry the burdens on our own without Jesus is what kills our spirit.
So I encourage you all Vuku Family to wait on the Lord and be of good courage. Jesus loves you and will see you through.
