Nekeni shared a picture of her Vuku meeting with us. I believe it should be our new standard of the Social distancing friendly Vuku meeting.
“In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”
John 16:23-24
We were all taught to say at the end of our prayers, “In the (precious, wonderful, loving etc.) Jesus name, Amen.”
So what does that mean to pray in Jesus’s name, which unlocks the mystery of the complete joy?
As Jesus said, we are not praying to Jesus, but to God. The name of Jesus is not a correct phone number or an email address to get our prayers to the right God.
Instead it is having the spirit of Jesus Christ.
So, before you pray, think how Jesus would pray in the situation you are in.
What does Jesus say?
Let us pray in the name of Jesus, who is in us.
