+2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV) But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. ” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.+

If Jesus were to come to you and say one thing, what would you want it to be?
A blessed gentleman approached me seeking help. He shared that during a period of deep depression and contemplation of self-harm, he received a clear message from God. God urged him not to harm himself and to quit drinking. He requested my assistance in his journey to overcome his drinking problem.
I asked why he needed my help when the Almighty God had already spoken directly to him. God spoke to him, showing that He is there for him.
I believe it’s not about whether He grants our prayers or not, but rather the significance of His mere presence.
When Paul pleaded with Jesus three times for his request, it wasn’t granted, but Jesus assured him of His strong presence, saying, “My grace is sufficient for you, and my power is made perfect in weakness.” This message continues to humble us all.
Regardless of what Jesus bestows upon us, the fact that He is with us should be more than enough.
Emmanuel – God is with us.
