Pic: When a crisis hits, our hearts are revealed. When Phumeza fell into a coma, Amila and Namhla couldn’t stop crying. Only when she woke up did they start to smile so beautifully. Praise the Lord! *
Proverbs 20:5 (NIV) The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters,
but one who has insight draws them out.
There is an old Korean saying that goes, “You can see through ten rivers, but you can’t see through one man’s heart.”
What insight do we need to understand their heart? Is it their circumstances, hidden troubles, or past trauma?
Perhaps so, but as disciples of Jesus Christ, we have one truth that we can depend on: nothing surpasses the joy we feel with the love of Christ.
Share the true love of Christ with them. If they exhibit genuine joy (which you will be able to discern), then you will know that their hearts are thirsty for more.
And we understand that whatever their hearts desire, the most important thing in their hearts would be Jesus’ presence. Simply guide them so they may be with Him.
The insight is the truth.
