Their leader, Thembeka, was too busy to meet, but it didn’t deter Bolweka, Julia, and Miyolo from meeting and sharing the love.
“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
Ephesians 5:1-2
‘As dearly loved children’
For some reason, it wasn’t the first thing that I noticed when I read the passage.
Paul wasn’t blaming us that we are not doing something to sacrifice ourselves for God.
Rather he is urging us to live up to who we are as dearly loved children.
It is a fact that a person with a rough childhood or abusive parents have a higher chance to become a criminal or a rapist.
But we are dearly loved children of God. Even if we were not in this world, we are receiving Jesus’ love to become one.
Paul is asking us to live up to who we are.
For He loves you dearly.
