Betty sells snack to school children. Due to lockdown, she hasn’t been able to work. For now, the cake cheered her up for sure.
Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
Luke 6:28 NLT
By Helen Lee
I know it is difficult to even think about turning the other cheek and loving your enemy. We don’t see it happen around us. It might even be dangerous to practice it. That is why no one hardly ever apologizes for their mistakes unless they are forced too.
But, it might be the only way to show Christ’s love to them and how much you care for them. No one listens even to the truth when they are upset, right?
It is tough for now, but can you imagine the outcome? You will gain much more.
It might be hard for you to try it with your real enemies for now, but we often lose our family and friends due to misunderstanding or some small mistakes. Next time someone is upset with you, don’t get discouraged by it. Try to turn the other cheek and show even more love. Apologize if you have to. Show how much the person means to you.
And if someone apologizes to you, forgive the person like it is nothing.
Let’s walk like we have his amazing love in us!
