It gave us an opportunity to expand Vuku Family to the area. Phumelele and his wife, Thami, are working hard to plant the first group.
“About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” ).”
Matthew 27:46
Day 6 of the Passion Week
After preparing the believers, Jesus carried out his work.
The work that no one else could do. The cross that no one else could bear.
Jesus cried out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Not because God had abandoned him, but for my sake.
Without Jesus, I would have cried out in the end, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
He was forsaken instead of me. He went through the spiritual death instead of me.
We were all set to be abandoned by God, but Jesus made the new covenant in his blood.
So we could live.
