We are having a I’m precious to Jesus march on 9th of November in Mbekeni, Paarl. They gathered for preparation. We ask for your prayers.
And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”
Luke 8:43-45
When the bleeding women touched Jesus, she was healed.
She was considered unclean, so she was afraid to even talk to Jesus.
Despite all that, Jesus demanded her to come forward in front of a crowd.
Was Jesus intending to expose this unclean women’s sneaky deeds and shame her?
No, Jesus did this because his objective was different from hers.
She wanted healing, but Jesus wanted to give her faith.
If Jesus hadn’t pointed out, she might have thought,
‘I was smart to do that,’
‘I must’ve been a good person,’
Or even, ‘I deserve this,’
Jesus was saying to her loud and clear.
“You were healed by your faith in me.”
So,l what ever you desire from Jesus, he will focus on our faith in Him.
