They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
1 John 4:5-6
- You have to be absolutely sure that you are with Jesus. Not just because the Bible say so.
- You have to be sure that you are hearing Jesus, not your own desire or common wisdom.
- It should be align with Christian view in the Bible.
- Other Christians that you trust should consent with you.
Then, you can recognize the spirit of the truth and the spirit of falsehood.
Seek guidance for everything. The world is changing all the time to confuse us.
