8 year old Siyamthanda was eating food with his bare hands. When we started holding hands to pray, he wanted to join in. Indeed, his hands were very greasy, but I loved it.
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
John 7:37-38
It was on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Feast of Tabernacles was a harvest festival. During the harvest, farmers would stay in tabernacles (temporary shelter) for 7 days.
It was also a celebration to remember that God was there with them and provided for them during the 40 years in the desert.
What Jesus proclaimed on the last day as the living water was the Holy Spirit.
Receiving the Holy Spirit in us means that we desire to depend on God for our future as Isralites did in the desert.
Wherever you go and what ever you do, we want to follow you Lord.
Let the Spirit in you guide you.
