Brought some snacks for a mother of 5 children. Thandokazi is a survivor.
Now Thomas (also known as Didymus ), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
John 20:24-25
Because of this, Thomas gained a nick name, doubting Thomas. It means that he is a skeptic and only believes in his own personal experience.
I don’t think it is entirely a bad thing. We shouldn’t stop believing in Jesus, but we should strive to experience his presence ourselves.
Has Jesus showed his love directly?
Has he shown mercy to you directly?
Has he touched your heart directly?
Have you learned on him directly?
Don’t just believe. Go touch him and go cry to him.
“Blessed are those who mourn, they will be comforted.”
