But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
 
Philippians 2:17

A drink offering is something you pour over the main offering. If you are sacrificing a lamb, you pour the drink offering over it.

Obviously, it adds flavour and aroma, but it only improves the main sacrifice.

Paul is saying he is a drink offering to Phillipi church’s work. His role was to improve their work for the Lord and disappear.

We should play that role for one another as well.

I am here to improve and assist your Good work for the Lord my family.
