Zubenathi is well known to be a good child. The pandemic is not helping her with the first year of high school.

“Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die. Punish them with the rod and save them from death.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:13-14‬

I had many people justifying punishing/beating their children with this verse.

Yet, our purpose of disciplining them is to save them from death, being apart from God.

Our children are precious creation of our God. They are in the process of being perfect.

Like a dish being prepared, they still need a few more ingredients.

You wouldn’t throw in a large unpeeled potato into a boiling soup, would you? It will splash the hot soup and ruin everything around it.

Let’s peel/dice and season the potato nicely. Then, gently add it to the soup.

Your children are meant to be perfect and they need your love to be perfect.
