It is not hard to see how each Vuku group is doing. The health of the group shows in the members reactions and changes. God is definitely working in this group.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

I have always loved the notion that we are SET APART from the world by God.

Because we belong to God, we are different from others in the world.

Phumelele told me about a guy who would get naked every time he went to a toilet. He thought it was some sort of culture/ritual so he respected it. The real reason was that the guy grew up in a house with a bucket as a toilet. So his family would take off their clothes before they went to the toilet to save it from smelling like… you know.

Just like the guy, the people in the world will do things that don’t make sense to us such as hatred, anger, jealousy, or even strong malice.

So if others show such worldly symptoms, don’t get hurt by it or hate them. Just pray for them and help them to find Jesus and experience his mercy.

That is how we declare the praises of our loving God.
